I was born and raised in Oklahoma, and this is where I plan to stay! No kids, never married, but I do have a beautiful yellow lab named Charlie (the gym mascot).

I played multiple sports growing up. I've always been active/athletic except in my early to mid 20's when I let myself go. I got up close to 200lbs (40lbs heavier than I am now) and I was in the worst shape of my life. I started turning my life around and towards Christ in my late 20's and that was about the time I found my passion in health and fitness. I'm 38 now and in the best shape of my life!

Not only do I maintain a healthy lifestyle but I improve every year, physically and spiritually. Owning my own gym allows me to be on the front lines to follow my passion to help others in all facets of life. Come see us at True Grit Fitness.

J-MAC” here! I was born and raised in Edmond for the most part. HUGE family guy! I got into wrestling when I was 4 years old and all the way through college, so being in peak physical condition has been pretty much routine in my life. I went to college for sports medicine while also becoming group fitness certified.

Through the lifetime of this journey... I have done it the right way and I have done it wrong way. All I can say really is ... I love  ❤️  my job. I want to share my experiences and our training styles to educate the community and of course have a dance party along the way! Did I mention I love people and my goal is to train you of course, but to make sure you have a BLAST while you work out?! God has blessed me in so many ways and I can’t wait to go on this journey with Travis.

Hey, fam, I'm Laura! Cool thing about me is I was born in Bogota, Colombia and moved to the USA when I was 2 years old. I have lived in Oklahoma for 5 years now. I went to high school in Branson, Missouri where I was a dancer and singer for 10 years before I found my love for fitness. I graduated in December of 2017 with a Kinesiology/Exercise Science degree from UCO.

I have trained many athletes and adults during my education. I am so thankful to have this opportunity at a gym where it is about more than working out, it's about growing in community and faith!

head trainer

I was born and raised in Oklahoma. Faith and Family are very important to me. I grew up playing multiple sports and have been very active all of my life. I have always had a passion for health and fitness but it never crossed my mind to pursue it as a career. Ever since I graduated college I’ve always wanted a career that would allow me to help other people. I started training with Travis and Jordan about a year ago to help me get back on track and find that fire again. I’ve been certified since March of 2018 and very excited to be at a place that shares faith and fitness all under one roof.

Hi, my name is Devan Barger! I am 24 years old and the youngest of the trainers. I grew up playing sports, so I was a very active kid. I’ve been a certified trainer for about 3 years now. I’m very new to the game, but I’m always learning new ways to become better. Being around sports my whole life gave me a lot of discipline for working hard and earning everything that I have. That being said, I am very humble and blessed to be apart of something as great as True Grit!

Hey y'all! I'm Jessica! I've been with True Grit since it was founded. I had worked out with Travis and Jordan previously and saw a great opportunity to work under their roof and get back into the gym. I started working in child care part time during nursing school but instantly fell in love with all the "Little Gritters", and their families. When I'm not watching your kiddos, I am an RN in the NICU at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital. Can't wait to get to know you all and your kids!

Hi gym fam! My name is Sydnie Jackson, I was born and raised in Sand Springs, OK! I went to the amazing University of Oklahoma where I got my Bachelors in Social Work and I am currently getting my Masters in Social Work. I plan to get my LCSW and continue my career as a Therapist. I have an amazing boyfriend and two fur babies that take up a lot of my time. We love to travel but you can normally find us in Crested Butte, Colorado!

I moved to OKC at the beginning of 2021 and shortly after that I started going to True Grit, it took no time for me to find my home away from home and fall in love with this place. Working here has been the best decision I could make- the past year has been full of up and downs, but my coworkers and my gym family were there for me the whole time. There is truly nothing like this place!

social media coordinator

I was born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma! I have my bachelors in Strategic Communications and social media has always been a passion. I love watching a business grow through multiple platforms. When I am not at True Grit, I am hanging with my daughter or my pack of dogs. Working for True Grit is a dream and I could not ask for a better team.

Hi, there! I’m Hannah! I am an Oklahoma State University agricultural communications graduate and currently am pursuing my doctorate of physical therapy at OU Health Sciences. I grew up on a centennial farm and ranch in Northwestern Oklahoma. My background has instilled in me the values of tenacity, passion and faith.

I love and appreciate the little things in life- colorful sunsets, warm sunshine, newborn calves, deep belly laughter, hardworking callused hands, a good cup of coffee, and time with family.  I joined True Grit this fall and instantly fell in love with the community/family aspect! I am so thankful for my TG fam and the opportunity to work here.
